The Bachelor of Business Technology (BBT) is for students who want to lead digital transformation, not just witness it — a four-year degree combining genuine business fundamentals (accounting, finance, marketing, management) with practical technology skills (e-commerce, data analytics, ERP, digital transformation, fintech).
Bachelor of Business Technology
4 Years | 8 Semesters
480 credits (60 credits per semester)
Level 7
Full-Time, Campus Learning
32 modules
Two Work-Integrated Learning placements (Semesters 6 and 8) plus a Capstone Project
Almost half of Eswatini’s SMEs face digital-adoption barriers — this degree trains the graduates who can fix that.
Most business degrees offer one IT module; most IT degrees offer little business content. BBT gives you genuine depth in both.
Dedicated fintech and digital-payments content connects directly to Eswatini’s growing digital-financial-services sector.
Two full-semester Work-Integrated Learning placements mean real workplace experience before graduation.
Financial Accounting I & II, Managerial Finance, Principles of Marketing, Microeconomics/Macroeconomics, Human Resource Management and Strategic Management.
Introduction to E-Commerce and Digital Business, Business Process Management and ERP Systems, Data Analytics for Business, Digital Marketing, Enterprise Systems and Digital Transformation, and Fintech and Digital Payments.
Cybersecurity and Risk Management for Business, Corporate Governance and Business Ethics, and Entrepreneurship and Innovation round out a business leader’s toolkit.
480 credits over 4 years (8 semesters): business fundamentals in Years 1–2, then sequential business-technology specialisation in Years 2–4.

BBT graduates are prepared for careers at the intersection of business and technology:
International qualifications are accepted subject to LUE’s equivalency assessment and Eswatini Qualifications Authority (EQA) confirmation. Mature applicants without the standard qualifications may apply via LUE’s Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) process. All applicants remain subject to LUE’s Admissions Committee decision, which may apply additional selection criteria where places are limited.
Applications are considered by LUE’s Admissions Committee, and successful applicants receive a formal offer of a place, conditional upon final confirmation of qualifications and, where applicable, ESHEC accreditation status at the time of enrolment.
Every module is assessed using LUE’s standardised, criterion-referenced rubrics, moderated internally and, for capstone/thesis/dissertation components, externally examined. Marks are converted to a letter grade and grade point on LUE’s institution-wide scale:
