Welcome to the Faculty of Engineering, Computing and Applied Science.
Technology is no longer simply a tool supporting development. It has become one of the major forces shaping how societies learn, communicate, conduct business and deliver public services.
Our Faculty is established to prepare students not merely to use technology, but to understand it, develop it and apply it to real-world problems.
Through our programmes in Information Technology, Cloud Computing, Cyber Security, Software Development and Artificial Intelligence, students will develop both theoretical understanding and practical capabilities. We want our graduates to leave the University able to think critically, solve problems and create technology-driven solutions.
Africa’s digital transformation presents enormous opportunities. It also presents challenges involving cybersecurity, digital inclusion, data protection, skills development and responsible use of artificial intelligence. Our Faculty seeks to position students to participate meaningfully in this transformation.
Whether you are beginning with foundational IT studies or progressing towards advanced work in software and AI, you are joining a community where innovation, practical learning and responsible technology matter.
I welcome you to a Faculty where ideas are expected to become solutions.
