BSc in Economics and Finance
4 Years | 8 Semesters
480 credits (60 credits per semester)
Level 7
Full-Time, Campus Learning
32 modules
One Work-Integrated Learning placement (Semester 6) plus a Dissertation

Direct relevance to Eswatini’s real economic challenges: high unemployment, poverty, fiscal pressure and an evolving digital-financial-services sector.
Dedicated coverage of the Common Monetary Area, SACU and regional integration — content specific to Eswatini’s economic position, not generic international theory.
A genuine research degree: one Work-Integrated Learning placement plus an independent dissertation, not just coursework.
Business Mathematics, Statistics for Economics and Finance, Mathematical Economics, and two full Econometrics modules.
Corporate Finance I & II, Investment Analysis and Portfolio Management, Risk Management and Derivatives, and Financial Statement Analysis and Valuation.
Development Economics, Public Sector Economics, Regional Economic Integration (SADC and Beyond), and Monetary Economics and Policy within the Common Monetary Area.
480 credits over 4 years (8 semesters): microeconomics, macroeconomics, mathematics and statistics in Years 1–2, then econometrics, finance and monetary economics in Years 3–4.
